Starting with advantages, a mobile internet device is always-on wireless and it is not required to go through a connection procedure, therefore no more waiting to connect to the internet, just simply write the email and send it. Another advantage of emailing is that it costs less than sending an sms if you are intending to write a long message, this is because sms gives a limited amount of space to write whereas an email can contain as much text as the user requires.

Moving on to the disadvantages, starting with the cost. Mobile internet devices are very expensive to buy, it costs around £200 to purchase and if broken it could cost a fortune to fix. Another disadvantage is that using a the device in public for emailing such as on the train or bus stops can lead to security threats. If not careful enough, people passing or sitting by you can easy see what you are writing in your emails.
